No more quarters

So a few weekends ago, it dawned on me - I really want need a washer and dryer. While I enjoy spending time at the 'Lewis Laundromat', it had been over two years and it was time for a change. So I did what any shopper would do, I went straight to craigslist. I found a few interesting leads but nothing exciting, unless you count the vintage wringer washer from the 1930’s. So the next day I checked craigslist and voila I found my Whirlpool washer and dryer for only $200! The seller had just bought a house with a new set and didn’t need their ‘old’ set anymore. When we picked them up that evening, they look brand new for being 5 yrs old – we couldn’t be happier. Over the next couple of days Matt built a bi-level stand out of treated deck lumber so our leaky basement wouldn’t rust the bottoms. Here is the final result:

Even Miss Kitty approves :)

I had no idea that there so many funny washer/dryer cartoons, here's a few

If only I could find the third one….

The sad part is that I do want a station wagon... a Dodge Magnum station wagon that is.
